Chairman of GIT's Board of Directors, Mr Fred Tabbal leads GIT's corporate development. He is Head of Fund Services, Middle East and Senior Executive Officer at Maples Fund Services (Middle East) Limited, and prior to that Chief Operating Officer of a boutique investment bank in Dubai.

Previously he was Executive Director of Operations at Dubai Capital Group, a member of Dubai Holding. Mr Tabbal was responsible for achieving record growth as Head of Fund Services in Caledonian Global Fund Services (Cayman Islands) and played a key role as Director of Portfolio Accounting in BISYS's strategic decision to acquire RK's fund administration business in 2004. He currently serves as advisory board member of Advent Software, EMEA, and has extensive financial services experience working with asset managers, service providers, and banks across the Middle East.

Mr Tabbal has a first degree from Rutgers University (USA) in Accounting, and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Mr Salim Sahyoun is the director responsible for marketing on GIT's board of directors. Mr. Sahyoun is an FMCG marketing professional with over fifteen years of delivering growth for several blue-chip multinationals. He is also an angel investor in education and F&B SMEs.

His latest corporate role was Area Head of Marketing with BAT Middle East. He previously worked for Gillette (now part of P&G) and Nutricia (now part of Danone) based out of the UAE, UK and South Africa with experience working with markets across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Eastern Europe. In 2014 Mr. Sahyoun left the corporate world to embark on an entrepreneurial venture in education.

Mr Sahyoun is a graduate of McGill University with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration.

Mr. Ahmad is a dynamic professional with 22 years of private equity, investment banking and management consulting experience in the United States and emerging markets. He is an experienced emerging market investor accredited with leading 27 investments across several countries and sectors. He is also a seasoned board member with extensive expertise in companies in the Middle East and Turkey. He is a passionate leader and manager with a successful track record of building businesses, leading teams, driving growth, launching investment funds and executing investments.

Mr. Ahmad is Managing Partner at Precinct Partners, a venture capital firm committed to partnering with exceptional entrepreneurs to help them accelerate growth and achieve superior results. Prior to this position, he was the CEO of NBK Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Dubai.

Mr. Ahmad earned a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, USA and is a GMP graduate from Harvard Business School, USA.

Mr. Hamza Moftah is an experienced Management Consultant with more than 10 years of experience in delivering large transformation programs in various sectors/industries across the MENA region. He is currently a Manager in IT Advisory Services for Ernst & Young (EY) MENA in Dubai. Prior to being part of the GIT Board of Directors he was a GIT Business Advisor via the EY Vantage Leadership Program, the Vantage Program provides high impact entrepreneurs access to EY core services on a 6 week pro bono basis in order to support them tackle challenges to growth.

Prior to joining EY, he worked for 8 years with Cerner Corporation in the UK and in GCC region, consulting with large healthcare organizations.

Mr. Hamza Moftah had earned his BSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, and completed in 2015 an Executive Leadership Course with the prestigous Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, MA, USA.

Dr Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi is the Co-founder, CEO and since January, 2012, has been the Executive Director on Board of German Imaging Technologies in Dubai.

Leading the start-up of GIT in late 1999, Dr Khatib-Shahidi has created a highly-successful printing solutions company. Operating out of its Dubai facility with a steadily growing staff, GIT achieved impressive growth from inception to date, and grown its revenue by 18% p.a. on average between 2010 and 2014. In April 2015 he was selected as an Endeavor High-Impact Entrepreneur and became a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization, EO UAE.

Prior to joining GIT, Dr Khatib-Shahidi was Attorney At Law for five years at Heuking, Kuehn, Luer, Kunz, and Wojtek, one of Germany's top-ten city law firms and member of the Dental International Group of Law Firms, London, UK. He has also often been the source of legal and expert opinion on Middle Eastern laws on banking, arbitration, and investments. He has drawn on this expertise in his time spent studying, living and working in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. 

Dr Khatib-Shahidi obtained his law degree (1993) and doctorate (1996) (magna cum laude) from the University of Konstanz, Germany and was a Senior Associate Member of St Antony's College, University of Oxford, UK.
